With two full size sleeping surfaces this bed will allow your furniture to grow with your children. Mattresses (Not Included):Use mattresses that are 74-75 inches long and 54 inches wide. Mattresses should not exceed 11 inches thick including the mattress surface and foundation combined. Foundation is not required.Ensure mattress surface is at least 5 inches below upper edge of guardrails.We take your family's safety seriously. That's why all of our bunk beds come with either a bunkie board or slat pack which provide complete mattress support and secure the mattress within the bunk bed frame.Caution: Falling Hazard!Falling and Strangulation Hazard. Never attach or hang items to any part of the bunk bed that are not designed for use with the bed for example but not limited to hooks belts and jump ropes.
