Users can manually adjust planets according to the planet position table with the 360 degree scale on the base. This model is gear driven within the base not chain driven so it`s extremely quiet. This model includes a detailed lesson plan that facilitates explanation of orbit and speed. It`s powered by plugging it in to a standard 110V outlet.
